In this video, I discuss how the Liquid Network works, as well as the trade-offs and differences between the Liquid Network, the Lightning Network, and on-chain Bitcoin.

The Liquid Network is a sidechain (or layer 2) pegged to Bitcoin, offering its own version of BTC called L-BTC.

While Liquid offers much lower transaction fees than on-chain Bitcoin, as well as confidential transactions, it has not seen much usage so far. This may change as on-chain transaction fees increase, and more people as a result want to move between on-chain, Liquid, and Lightning.

We will cover the Aqua Wallet, which does just that, in a later video.
